Mid America CropLife Association DVD

AgWorks and the Mid America CropLife Association (MACA) is pleased to announce the completion of the DVD product "Traceability - Where Do We Stand?".  AgWorks software was selected as the foundation for this project by the MACA Track and Trace Committee from all options available in the United States ag retail software market.

The Mid America CropLife Association (MACA) is a non-profit association of manufacturers, distributors/formulators and allied industry of crop protection products in 13 Midwestern states.  Their mission is to research issues relating to crop production and to work together to improve the crop life cycle, via health, safety, and public education.

Over the last few years, MACA has been developing guidelines that would be used to trace crop inputs, such as fertilizer, seed or crop protection products, fro m the supplier to the grower's field.  This information would be helpful in the occurrence of food, environmental or public safety issues.  The MACA Traceability Implementation Project (TIP) sets up traceability guidelines that ag retailers can integrate into their daily operations.

This project points out the critical role of the ag retailer in the nation's food supply chain.  The AgWorks software functionality tested in this project is very retail centric and is designed to serve the needs of the agronomy retailer's day to day product stewardship activities.

AgWorks is committed to providing innovative software products that manage agronomy needs.  We are proud to have been chosen to have our products featured in this special report.
